Kornilovtsy Cavalry

There were three different units of Kornilov cavalry.

Kornilov Horse Regiment

This was a unit of Kuban Cossacks given the honour of being named for General Kornilov, and it is described here.

It fought in the Kuban Host and Caucasian Army, never alongside the infantry of the same name.

General Kornilov Horse Divizion

This was formed to provide divisional cavalry for the infantry, presumably by at least mid-1919, when the Markov Horse Divizion was fighting separately with the Markovtsy, and likely somewhat earlier. There is little information about it, but it must have reached at least two squadrons in size to become a divizion.

Presumably it wore some version of the infantry uniform.

Muslim Mountain Horse

Up to August 1919 a small Karbadian unit was attached to the 1st Division. With the split into the Kornilov Division, there is mention of a Muslim Horse Divizion. I have been unable to find any details about either.

Given their nature, they would have been dressed in Caucasian dress, like the Kuban Cossacks, but with their own colours. Information on the Karbadians is here.
