Photos of Semirechensk Cossacks

A photograph of Semirechensk Cossacks of the 2nd Regiment about 1916. By the Civil War the shoulderboards and caps would be softer but the uniform otherwise unchanged.

Ataman Iovov and Deputy Ataman Shcherbatov. Both are wearing full parade uniforms. The Cossacks of Siberia seemed to favour the "ermakovka" front to their blouses, with bullet holders and piped front piece, and the Semirechensk followed suit.

A modern Semirechensk Cossack wearing a recreated Civil War uniform, even down to sleeve chevron. The "raspberry" colour of the hatband is very definitely pink.
